DBT Skills Classes

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Classes are designed to teach practical strategies for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and coping with distress. These group sessions focus on four core modules: Mindfulness (staying present), Distress Tolerance (surviving crises), Emotion Regulation (understanding and changing emotions), and Interpersonal Effectiveness (navigating relationships effectively). DBT skills classes are ideal for individuals seeking to enhance their emotional intelligence and build a more stable, fulfilling life, particularly those experiencing emotion dysregulation.

RO-DBT Skills Classes

Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT) Skills Classes are specifically tailored for individuals struggling with emotional overcontrol, often associated with conditions like chronic depression, anxiety disorders, anorexia nervosa, and obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (OCPD). RO-DBT focuses on enhancing openness, flexibility, and social connectedness. Participants learn to challenge rigid thinking, express emotions more freely, and build genuine relationships, fostering a sense of belonging and well-being by addressing loneliness and social isolation.

Accepted Forms of Payment

*Sessions will be paused if your card on file is not updated and payments are missed.

Tardiness & Cancelations

Please be considerate of the scheduled time of your session. Appointments are usually 53-60 minutes long, with the 7 minutes giving me a chance to prepare for the next appt. I do start appointments generally a few minutes behind the hour giving patients a little wiggle room if they experienced delays. Excessive tardiness will ultimately take away from your therapy, as I cannot always run over scheduled meeting times to compensate. I have a 24 hour cancelation policy and provide reminders 48 hours in advance of appointments. If you are unable to make you appointment in person, phone sessions may be utilized in lieu of face to face. Cancelations less than 24 hours or no call/no show for appointments will result in billing for the scheduled session. The fee for this is determined by the self pay, or your insurance provider’s contracted rate for the service(s) missed. I do request a debit/credit card on file for these circumstances.
