*Couples Therapy- I am not a marriage and family specialist. When I have seen couples there has been a specified patient. I encourage & assist patients to seek a couples/marriage counselor that meet their needs while continuing individual counseling.
Insurance Patients
Patient responsibility is determined by your individual or family policies. Call to verify mental health benefits, and expected patient responsibility per your insurance policy.
I accept Aetna, BCBSTX Blue Choice PPO, Cigna, Carelon, Beacon/Value Options, UMR, Optum, and United Behavioral Health plans. If you have another insurance provider, you still might be able to receive reimbursement for out of network services. My office submits out-of-network claims for you, the same as in-network services. I DO NOT request payment upfront/out of pocket, provide super-bills, and force insurance to reimburse patients at a later date. I try to remove as much of the unnecessary hassle as possible for you, so you can focus on what’s important. Sometimes insurance companies do makes mistakes too. In the event you need to speak with your insurance provider regarding claims, I am happy to provide a super-bill upon request.
Self-pay Patients
Individual Therapy/Counseling
$275 per 53-60 minute individual psychotherapy intake.
$225 per 53-60 minute individual psychotherapy session.
Sliding Scale
I do offer sliding scale options for patients in need. My office recently joined OpenPath, a nonprofit aimed at connecting patients with limited resources to quality mental health providers. Patients who qualify pay a one time $65 fee to register with their directory. Members get access to databases of local therapists who have agreed to see members at a significantly reduced rate. Once registered you will be provided an ID which you can provide to me to utilize the sliding scale option. Click the link below to learn more about this program. If you are struggling financially and aer not sure how to afford therapy, then begin your OpenPath profile now and be finished in minutes. Once paid and registered with OpenPath, you can contact me directly to begin discussing sliding scale pricing and scheduling.

Typically DBT skills group is in combination with individual psychotherapy sessions. DBT skills only or attedance of skills group from another DBT provider will be considered on a case by case basis.

Open group consisting of teens 13-17 years old; separate skills for parents/primary caregivers. Groups cover DBT skills including mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Accepted Forms of Payment
Accepted forms of payment include all major credit debit/cards, and cash. Patient responsibility for services is required at the conclusions of scheduled sessions. Unless there is a specified copay/coinsurance for your policy, I will not charge your card on file until I receive the explanation of benefits (EOB) back from your mental health insurance provider. This delay is to prevent unnecessary overcharges to you that would require payment refunds. 24 hour payment links may be sent upon request. *Sessions will be paused if your card on file is not updated and payments are missed. If something happens unexpectedly to finances, I don’t want you sacrificing your mental health. Modified payment schedules are available on a case-per-case basis for patients.
Tardiness & Cancelations
Please be considerate of the scheduled time of your session. Appointments are usually 53-60 minutes long, with the 7 minutes giving me a chance to prepare for the next appt. I do start appointments generally a few minutes behind the hour giving patients a little wiggle room if they experienced delays. Excessive tardiness will ultimately take away from your therapy, as I cannot always run over scheduled meeting times to compensate. I have a 24 hour cancelation policy and provide reminders 48 hours in advance of appointments. If you are unable to make you appointment in person, phone sessions may be utilized in lieu of face to face. Cancelations less than 24 hours or no call/no show for appointments will result in billing for the scheduled session. The fee for this is determined by the self pay, or your insurance provider’s contracted rate for the service(s) missed. I do request a debit/credit card on file for these circumstances.
